If you're opening Thunderbird for the first time and creating your first email account, skip to step 5.<\/li>\n<li>Click on 'Tools'.<\/li>\n<li>Click on 'Account Actions...'.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/2slick.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/add_account_thunderbird.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2181\" style=\"border-image: initial; border: 1px solid black;\" title=\"add_account_thunderbird\" src=\"http:\/\/2slick.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/add_account_thunderbird.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"731\" srcset=\"https:\/\/2slick.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/add_account_thunderbird.jpg 600w, https:\/\/2slick.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/add_account_thunderbird-246x300.jpg 246w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Click on Account Actions', then click 'Add Mail Account...'.<\/li>\n<li>Enter your information as follows:<br \/>\n<strong>Your Name<\/strong><br \/>\nEnter your first and last name.<\/p>\n<p><strong>E-mail Address <\/strong><br \/>\nEnter your e-mail address.<\/p>\n<p><strong>User Name <\/strong><br \/>\nEnter your e-mail address, again<\/p>\n<p><strong>Password<\/strong><br \/>\nEnter the password you set up for your e-mail account.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Incoming Mail Server (POP3) <\/strong><br \/>\nEnter mail.yoursite.com for your incoming mail server.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) <\/strong><br \/>\nEnter mail.yoursite.com for your incoming mail server.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<b>Note:<\/b> Use the default port numbers, but if you're having problems sending emails after your account is setup, recreate your email account, but set the  Outgoing Mail Server to port to 26.\n<\/li>\n<li>Click the 'Continue' button. <\/li>\n<li>Click the 'Manual Config' button and adjust your settings if necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Check the IMAP option if you want your messages and files stored on the server. Check the POP3 option if you want your messages and files stored on your computer.<\/li>\n<li>Click the 'Re-test' button.<\/li>\n<li>Click the 'Create Account' button.<\/li>\n<li>Enter in an email signature ihttp:\/\/2slick.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/logo3.pngf you like.
