To get Google Analytics on your site you first have to create a Google Analytics account google.com\/analytics<\/a>. After you create the account you can then specify a website to track, and a code snippet will be given to you. You paste your code snippet into your website's theme admin or HTML to get Analytics working.<\/p>\n

How to set up Google Analytics<\/h3>\n

  1. First, you have to create a Google Analytics account. Log into any Google accounts you already have, whether it's Gmail, Google+, Youtube, etc. and skip to step 6. \u00a0If you don't have a Google Account, then proceed to step 2.<\/li>\n
  2. Next create a Google Analytics account. Go to\u00a0google.com\/analytics<\/a>, and click on the 'Create an account' button.<\/li>\n
  3. Click the 'SIGN UP' button, populate the fields and click the 'Create My Account' button.<\/li>\n
  4. Click the verification email sent to your emaill account.<\/li>\n
  5. In the next window Google will ask you if you would like to add a phone number to you account, just click the 'Click here to\u00a0continue.' link for now.<\/li>\n
  6. Click the 'Sign up' button.<\/li>\n
  7. Enter the name of your website in the 'Account Name' field.<\/li>\n
  8. Enter the URL of your website in the 'Website's URL' field.<\/li>\n
  9. Check the TOS box.<\/li>\n
  10. Click the 'Create Account' button.<\/li>\n
  11. Scroll down the page to the 'Paste this code in your site' box and copy the code snippet.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    You can paste this code within your header tags on every page you want tracked. If you are installing the Google Analytics code snippet in a WordPress website, follow the steps below.<\/p>\n

    Installing Google Analytics code snippet in your WordPress website<\/h3>\n

    1. Log into your WordPress admin.<\/li>\n
    2. Chances are you have a custom theme installed. Access your theme admin by clicking on your theme tab. There should be a large text field labeled 'Google Analytics'. Paste the code snippet in the field and save your changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      If you don't have a custom theme installed in your WordPress website, then you'll have to install the code snippet manually.<\/p>\n

      1. Log into your WordPress admin.<\/li>\n
