Mozilla Thunderbird<\/a> doesn't open eml files. The eml files open, but they open as blank documents in Thunderbird. Here are some simple solutions.<\/p>\n

I installed Kernel<\/a> and it did allow me to view email files, but I still couldn't open attachments within the eml file.<\/p>\n

I installed Windows Live Mail and was able to view the eml file as well as open any attachments within the eml file. I'm using Windows 7.<\/p>\n

How to Install Windows Live Mail<\/h3>\n

  1. Go to http:\/\/windows.microsoft.com\/en-US\/windows-live\/essentials-home<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Click the 'Download now' button.<\/li>\n
  3. Install the 'Windows Life Essentails'.<\/li>\n
  4. Click 'Choose the programs you want to install'.\n

  5. Click the 'Install' button.<\/li>\n
  6. Click the 'Close' button once the installation it complete.<\/li>\n
  7. Save your eml file to your computer.<\/li>\n
  8. Right mouse click your eml file and select 'Open with', then click 'Windows Live Mail'.\n
