Feel free to use the leftover website ideas in the list below.

Website ideas

Resurrect an old website - When a blogger dies, all his valuable ad-click generating website traffic dies with him when his site goes offline. It would be an easy chore to find his blog posts using a web archive service and then duplicate them to a new blog you create. Once his site expires, make your website public and inherit his ad-click generating content. The only problem with this idea is that there isn't an easy way to find expired websites. I found one site that record expired websites here: dropday.com

Expired websites blog - A blog of expired websites would be an interesting website idea. It may not be a website that's in high demand, but the lack of competition could mean big traffic over the long term.

Blog of old books - There are millions of old books no one cares enough to turn into e-books. Retyping the page content and scanning the pictures of unpopular old books, into search engine friendly digital content, could generate significant traffic. There are libraries in every city standing on their last legs. Take advantage of this opportunity while it lasts.

Music Rolls database - Music rolls as a medium may not be around forever. The songs may fade away with the role since they aren't that popular either. A database of the songs from old music rolls would be a good investment. The problem with this idea, is that it takes equipment and music rolls. A website that sells music rolls can give you some tips on how to accomplish this task.

Blog categories website - When blogs were invented they were personal diaries. With the birth of online advertising, blogs have become news websites, product review websites, documentaries, tutorials, galleries and more. I know a woman who makes a living blogging about her favorite Cosco products and sales. It would be nice to have a website that different types of blogging ideas so that new bloggers can see their options and better notice any blogging trends.

So my friend/customer on Facebook says, “I need a website idea for a new blog.” So I ran several ideas by him after some brainstorming.
