Tunblr is part of a visual blogging trend unlike the blogs prior to 2011. Tumblr isn't alone. Pinterest, Instagram and Flickr aren't far behind. I used to cast Tumblr aside as a blog platform for kids and idleness, but some Tumblr blogger are actually making money through advertising(Tumblr AdSense). I decided to research the top ten Tumblr blogs to see what their content is about. below are the top 10 Tumblr blogs based on website traffic. I also went ahead and listed the PR (page rank) of each blog.<\/p>\n

  1. staff.tumblr.com<\/a> - PR8<\/strong> -  This is the Tumblr staff blog and the posts are what'd you'd expect. The blog basically updates Tumblr users of new updates and bugs.<\/li>\n
  2. topherchris.com<\/a> -  PR8<\/strong> -  This is a very average Tumblr blog that focuses on posting funny, shocking, stunning, memorable photos. It's owned by Tumblr's Editorial Director Christopher.<\/li>\n
  3. awesomepeoplehangingouttogether.tumblr.com<\/a> - PR6 - This Tumblr blog has a super long domain name, but that didn't stop it from being one of the most populat Tumblr blogs to date. This blog contains images of iconic, famous people of the past socializing.<\/li>\n
  4. pleated-jeans.com<\/a> - PR6<\/strong> - This is just a popular Tumblr blog with lots of hilarious pics and videos.<\/li>\n
  5. kateoplis.tumblr.com<\/a> - PR6<\/strong> - A very popular, wordy, liberal Tumblr blog that emphasizes the common 'kneejerk' ideals of the average bleeding heart.<\/li>\n
  6. thefrogman.me<\/a> - PR6<\/strong> - Just a Tumblr blog with lots of images that make you wanna chuckle.<\/li>\n
