In this tutorial I will show you how to create categories and add them to your posts.<\/p>\n

Create categories<\/h3>\n

  1. Log into your WordPress website<\/li>\n
  2. Click on the 'Posts' tab.<\/li>\n
  3. Click on 'Categories'.<\/li>\n
  4. Scroll down and input the name of the category in the 'Name' field.<\/li>\n
  5. Click the 'Add New Category' button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Assign categories to a post<\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. Click on the 'Posts' tab.<\/li>\n
    2. Select the post you want to edit.<\/li>\n
    3. Assign the categories to the post by checking the box next to the categories in the 'Categories' section.<\/li>\n
    4. Click the 'Publish' or 'Submit' button to save the changes. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Add a category to your nav menu<\/h3>\n

      You can add a category to your nav menu so that whenever a visitor clicks on the category link, they will see a list of all the posts for that particular category.<\/p>\n

      1. Click on the 'Appearance' tab.<\/li>\n
      2. Click the 'Menus' option.<\/li>\n
      3. Check the box next to a category in the 'Categories' section.

      4. Click the 'Add to Menu' button. Notice how the category you selected became a menu item in the  menu section on the right side of your screen.<\/li>\n
