How to backup my website using cPanel

In this tutorial I will explain how to backup your website using cPanel.

Backup website using cPanel

  1. Log into your cPanel account. If you're a 2slick.com customer, the login for your cPanel is mywebsite.com/cpanel.
  2. In you're cPanel, click on the 'Backup Wizard' icon under the 'Files' section.
  3. Click the 'Backup→' button.
  4. Click the 'Full Backup→' button.
  5. Select 'Home Directory' for the Backup Destination:' drop-down menu.
  6. Check the box next to the email address field and enter your email address.
  7. Click the 'Generate Backup' button.
  8. Backup wizard will send you an email when the backup is complete at which point you can download the backup onto your computer via ftp from the 'Home' directory.
