Normally, if you wanted to insert Google Analytics code into your website or CMS, you would use a code snippet Google gives you when you create a Google Analytucs Account. Some CMS technologies Allow you to setup Google Analytics with just your Google Account Number also refereed to as the 'Property ID'.

What is my Google Analytics Account Number?

What is your Google Account Number? It's an ~8 character long code used to identify your account and can easily be spotted when logged into your Google Analytics account.

How to find your Google Analytics Account Number?

You can find your Google Analytics Account number by following the steps below.

  1.  Log into your Google Analytics account.
  2. Click on the account, from the list, that you want to get the number from.
  3. Click on the 'Admin' tab at the top right of the screen.
  4. The Google Account Number will be listed under your website title next to 'Property ID:'.
Note: There is a drawback to using CMS technologies that require your 'Property ID' instead of using the default Google Analytics code snippet and that is that you can't customize your code snippet.
