Make a link using WordPress HTML tab

When you're creating a post or page, click the 'HTML' tab.

Use this tutorial to create an HTML link.

Make a link using WordPress Visual tab

1.  Place the cursor in the WordPress post or page main content area.
   
2. Type in some text to represent the text part of the link people will read and click on.
3. Highlight the entire text and click the 'insert/edit link' icon.
   
4. Input the URL in the 'URL' field, input a description of the website being linked to in the 'Title' field, and check the 'Open link in a new window/tab'.
   
5. Click the 'Add Link' button.
