How to create a custom Facebook Fan Page

First let's create a Facebook Fan Page:

  1. Go to http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php?ref_type=sitefooter and click 'Local Business or Place'.
  2. Fill in the fields and click 'Get Started'.
  3. For the next step I checked the option 'I already have a Facebook account.'
  4. Click 'Upload an Image' then click the 'Choose File' button. Your optimal image for your profile picture should be 500 pixels tall by 180 pixels wide. If you need help creating an add for your profile picture try this website: http://xheader.com/.
  5. Click the 'Continue' button.
  6. Click the 'Continue' button.
  7. Input into the fields and click  the 'Continue' button.

You Fan page is now finished for the most part. When you log out of your Facebook Fan Page (also called a Facebook Page) you can easily go back to it by.

  1. Logging into your regular Facebook account.
  2. Click 'Account' tab at the top of the page.
  3. Click 'Use Facebook as Page'.
  4. Select your Fan Page profile.

Let's add a new navigation tab link to your Fan Page.

  1. Click the 'Edit Page' button on the top right.
  2. Click the 'Apps' icon on the left of the screen.
  3. In the search field at the top of the screen type in 'static html: iframe tabs'. Click the app that appears with this title in the search results.
  4. Click on the 'Go to App' button.
  5. Choose to add this app to our current Fan Page.
  6. Click the 'Add Static HTML: iframe tabs' button.
  7. Click 'Edit Page'.
  8. Click 'Apps'. Now you can see the 'Static HTML: iframe tabs' app listed under the default apps.
  9. Click 'Edit Settings' under 'Static HTML: iframe tabs' app icon.
  10. Enter in the name of your new Fan Page tab or page. Let's call it 'Welcome'.
  11. Click the 'Save' button & click 'Okay'.
  12. Click the 'View Page' button.
  13. Click the 'Welcome' tab, or the new tab you you just created, under the profile picture.
  14. Now you can enter in html and text content to create the custom html page viewers will see when they go to this custom tab. Enter in some html or text and click 'Save and View Tab'.
