Setup Account Windows Live Mail

How to set up an account on Windows Live Mail. You will need to get your email account login information from your hosting provider to complete the tutorial.

Information you will need to setup your email account

  1. Email address: bob@bobautoparts.com
  2. Username: bob@bobautoparts.com
  3. Password: Bob59486
  4. Incoming Mail Server (POP3): mail.bobautoparts.com
  5. Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.bobautoparts.com

 

How to setup as account on Windows Live Mail

  1. Open the Windows Live Mail program.
  2. Click the blue icon in the top left of the screen.
  3. Click 'Options' then 'Email accounts...'.
  4. Click the 'Add...' button.
  5. Select 'Email Account'.
  6. Click the 'Next' button.
  7. Enter in your email address, password and you full name in the provided fields and press the 'Next' button.
  8. You should now be at the 'Windows Live Mail' window. From the 'Server type:' drop-down option select 'POP'. Notice how your 'Port:' fields auto populate.
  9. Input your incoming mail server address into the 'Server address:' field under the ' 'Incoming server information' area.
  10. Input your outgoing server address into the 'Server address:' field under the ' 'Outgoing server information' area.
  11. Enter your username into the 'Logon user name: field.
    Note: Your email address and username may be the same.
  12. Click the 'Next' button.
  13. Hopefully your email address was setup successfully and you will see this screen.
  14. Click the 'Finish' button.
  15. Click the 'Close' button.
