Create paid, processing, and shipped status for your WordPress users

In this tutorial I will show you how to use modified WordPress user roles to enable paid, processing and shipped order statuses to for your WordPress website or online business. 

You will need to install the plugin User Role Editor PR5 to complete this tutorial.

  1. Click on 'Users'.
  2. Click on 'User Role Editor'.
  3. Type in the word 'Paid' in the 'Name' field in the 'Add New Role' sections.
  4. Set the field 'Make copy of' to 'subscriber'.
  5. Click the 'Add' button.
  6. Type in the word 'Processing' in the 'Name' field in the 'Add New Role' sections.
  7. Set the field 'Make copy of' to 'subscriber'.
  8. Click the 'Add' button.
  9. Type in the word 'Shipped' in the 'Name' field in the 'Add New Role' sections.
  10. Set the field 'Make copy of' to 'subscriber'.
  11. Click the 'Add' button.
Now when you edit a user, you can set their 'Role' to 'Paid', 'Processing' and 'Shipped'. When you click on the 'Users' tab, you can now easily browse through all your users and tell which one's have orders to process, have paid or need to have their products shipped out.
