In this tutorial, I will show you how to enable the 'Developer' tab in Microsoft Word 13. The 'Developer' tab is necessary to create protected documents, editable forms, add Add-ins, add Visual Basic and more.

Enable the 'Developer' tab in Word

1.  With Microsoft open, click on the 'File' tab at the top of the screen.
2. Click on the 'Options' option.
3. Click on the 'Customize Ribbon' option.
4. Check the box next to the 'Developer' option.
5. Click the 'Ok' button.

The developer tab should now available and visible next to the other tabs across the top of the screen.
