Undo Restrict Editing on your Microsoft Word document

Creating fallible forms, locked form or editable Word forms for your website can be very helpful, although sometimes you may want to make the document editable again i.e. unlock the form. In this tutorial, I will show you how to unrestrict editing for your Microsoft Word document using Microsoft Word 2013. 

Note: The 'Developer' tab must be enabled to complete this tutorial. Click here to learn how to enable the Developer tab.

Undo 'restrict Editing' on your Microsoft Word Document

  1. Open your Word Document.
  2. Click on the 'REVIEW' tab.
  3. Click on the 'Restrict Editing' icon.
  4. Click the button 'Stop Protection' located under the message:Your PermissionsThis document is protected from unintentional editing.You may only fill in forms in this region.
  5. Enter in the password and click the 'Ok' button.
